Abahl, Oh, Ew, Mamamamama, and Dadadadada

AUDREY SAID “BALL”!! While Cecilia was putting Kristen to bed, Phil was playing with Audrey on the living room floor. She was digging the two balls she was playing with and when she first said “ball”, Phil questioned whether that was really what she said. Then she said it again, then we went off to playing something else, then when Phil gave her the ball again, she said “ball” again, so he became convinced she knew what she was saying. YAY!! She has previously said “dadada…” and “mamama…”, but not just a single “dadda” or “mama”, so we think this is her first word Also, she has been saying “ooh” a lot when she makes the “ooh face”, but we think that is more a sound than a word.

Also, Audrey has recently learned to pull up. About two weeks ago, we found her standing in her crib, hanging onto the rails for dear life. We also saw her try to pull up on the couch, but she could never quite make it. Yesterday, she pulled up on the stairs and then on the couch.

(P.S. More oh faces to come... my SD card isn't working right so I cannot download them at this time. But... my mother in law and sister in law took some great oh faces last weekend. Hopefully I will be able to post them soon. )

Daddy says that Audrey actually says "ba" with a little bit of an l when refering to a ball. "abahl" is just another noise she says. He would also like credit for teaching her the word ball.
