Lunch Break with Daddy

The girls and I had a fun playdate with some of our friends from church.

It was beautiful outside and the park had a nice picnic area, so towards the end of the date, we called Daddy to see if maybe he would want to join us at the park for a lunch break.

And of course, he dropped everything and ran out to meet us.

After eating lunch, we played for a few more minutes.

Kristen loved the unusual slide, and said she never wanted to stop going down it.

Audrey loved the swings.... just like she does at every park we go to.

So did Ella.

Kristen enjoyed taking turns pushing the girls.

And then she discovered the horse and left Daddy to the pushing.

We had a great time and plan to do it again soon.

A trip to Deanna Rose Farmstead

We love visiting the farmstead.  On this trip, we were out with lots of friends!!  I think we had a total of 19 kids in our group, so needless to say the adults were quite busy and had very little time to snap pictures.  Sorry.

Here are the few we did get :

Audrey enhoyed sqwaking at the chickens for several minutes.

The girls' favorite animal to see was the cows. Kristen and Audrey both wanted to pet them. Here they are trying to reach through the wire fence to do so.

We didn't get a pictures of the goats.  But both girls tried feeding the baby goats with milk bottles.  Audrey loved it, but Kristen did not enjoy the eagerness of the goats.  She got out of the pen quickly.

I think Audrey's eye is a little swollen and red here because she rubbed some of the sunlotion into it.   Poor baby.

She is quite tired here and ready to take a nap.

I tried to coax a smile out of her, but all the sun, sunscreen, and walking had exhuasted her.  She was ready to go home.

The Little Photographer

Kristen loves taking pictures.

And bossing us around as she does it.

As you can see, she had us pose in several unique positions with several unique props.

"Pretend you are waving the palm branch," she instructed.  "No, no.  PRETEND!  Stop waving the palm branch.  Just pretend. Okay?  And smile.  Say cheese.  Good.  Gottcha."

"Smile, say cheese."

" No, don't laugh.  Stop laughing.  Just smile."

"Okay, Mommy, I am done with you.  Just Daddy now. .. and then when I am done, then you can be in it next.  But just Daddy for this one.  Okay?"

"Okay, Now Mommy I want one of you.  How about you pick up Audrey.  Okay?"

"Good job.  Gottcha!"

"Gottcha."

"Okay, now just Audrey, okay guys. "

Stop laughing, except you, Audrey, you keep laughing."

"Gottcha."

"Now just Erin and Daddy, okay?  You get up Mom.  Get up.  Just Erin and Daddy.  Get up, okay?"

"Okay, Mom you can come back now.  You sit next to Daddy again."

"Put your hands where I tell you to, okay Audrey."

"Good job!"

"Okay, one more.  Say cheese."

"Gottcha."

"Can you make a funny face?"

                              "Good Job!  Gottcha !"

Near the end of the photo shoot, we asked Kristen, "How many pictures are you going to take?" And she replied, " Oh, I think twenty."

P.s. Erin took some of these pictures....it was a side-by-side photo shoot.

Three Weekends of Fun

Last month several of the O'Neal families took turns visiting the O'Neal pack.

Mimi came first and played games with the girls, took pictures and shared some of her toys.

Mimi stayed overnight and played with the girls so Mommy and Daddy could escape to a nice hotel. It was fabulous!!

Next came Bryan and Aimee.

They stayed for a couple of days to visit with us, play with us, and shower us with new books.

The girls (and their parents) enjoyed getting to know their future aunt.

Then Erin flew in from Indy and stayed for three days.  It was fun.  The girls got to show off some of their favorite play places and playmates.

Kristen had fun making snacks with Erin and her parents enjoyed eating them.

Both girls love having their nails painting, so Erin endulged them.

The weather was awesome for Erin's trip, so we spent some time outdoors.

Thanks everyone for making the trip.  We had three great weekends !
