 I love to say "cheese"!

"Holy mackeral, Mommy! That thing is HUGE and it's headed STRAIGHT FOR ME! I gotta get my butt down this slide so it gets Kristen instead!!

Whew! Turns out that thing I thought was a meteorite was just a bird after all. Back to playing!

Funky Mama

Last week, our MOPS group hosted a Funky Mama concert.

The girls were soooo excited about it.  The morning of the concert, Audrey woke up and came into my room and said "Funky Mama."  I guess we talked it up enough.

Funky Mama sang traditional songs like "Ring around the Mulberrry Bush" and "The Hokey Pokey" and then some rather unusual songs she had written.

The kids loved singing, dancing and jumping along with the songs.

We were lucky to have the Remier boys come with us.  The girls  sooo  enjoy spending time with them.  (and I love being able to visit with their mom.)

And Kristen made a new friend, who did not want to let go of Kristen until the concert was over.

A date with the Reimer boys

Our favorite boys came over for lunch the other day.

We ate, chatted and played washers.

P.S. If Daniel, Jake, Nate, Jackson, Jonah, Nathan, Tyler or Tyler are reading this.... .we love you too... I use the word "favorite" loosely.

Last day at the School Park (Playground)

With the school year about to start, the kids and I are losing one of our favorite spots.

So we decided that before the first day of school arrives, the Dean's and the O'Neal's were going to have lots of fun at our school park (playground.)

We started with the swings,

After about 10 minutes or so, the kids grew bored of swinging and decided we needed to do something a bit more active.

"I know," said Kristen, "Let's have an obstacle course race."

"What a great idea!"    said Daniel.

Ella agreed to be our judge and waved to start us off.

Audrey lagged behind most of the race, but still had lots of fun.

Ella did a great job of cheering us on!

Daniel and Kristen both worked hard to finish the course.

They were neck and neck for most of the race.

But then Kristen took off.

Just like her Daddy taught her to.

Kristen received a little help from Audrey.

It was ornery thing to do, yes…. but we forgave her because she is so darn cute.

In the end, Ella declared us all winners and we headed back to the swings.

What a great day!
