A Love of Maps

I don't know if it is from watching too much Dora, or inherited from her Grandma Helen, but Kristen loves to look at maps.

Here she is studying the Deanna Rose Farmstead Map.

Audrey is not as enthralled. 

But Kristen could study these things for hours. 

We love visiting the school playard and studying their map.

Sometimes we bounce the ball on a state and name it.  Sometimes we talk about which family members live in the selected state.  Often we talk about what food grows there or what animals live there.

The kids like sitting on the map and rolling the ball across it.  We talk about what states the ball ran across. 

Kristen likes to take off her shoes (and mine ) and place them in her favorite (known) states.

I need to learn more U.S. trivia, because the girl is quick and likes to ask a lot of questions while we are out there playing. 



Audrey just likes the fresh air and warm sunshine.
