When Daniel, one of momma's daycare kids, came over to play, he would bring his "elie." It was a yellow elephant that comforted him when he was sad and helped him go to sleep. Kristen liked Daniel's elie and wanted to play with him. Momma explained that Elie was Daniel's special toy.... kind of like Kristen's blanket. Soon, if Kristen saw that Daniel was without the Elie, Kristen would go find it and bring it to him.... even if he didn't want it at that moment. Momma looked in her storage room and found that she too had a stuffed elephant from her childhood. Momma gave it to Kristen, which made her very happy. A few weeks later, we saw a small, grey elie at walmart and bought it too.

When Audrey was born, Nanna and Grandma took Kristen shopping to buy Audrey a special gift from her big sister. And of course, out of all the stuffed animals, rattles and toys, Kristen picked out an Elie for Audrey. (Unknowingly, Momma did too... so now Audrey has two Elies.)

This is so sweet!!! I love the fourth, with both of them laying down. (Erin)
