Dancing with Momma

My little girl is a dancing machine. Check other posts to see her dance with Anna, Anna and Daniel, and by herself. After dinner, Momma does the dishes and cleans up the kitchen. As she cleans, she likes to listen to some music, some adult music. Recently, Kristen has come into the kitchen to dance along with the music. On this evening, Momma got really silly and danced with Kristen. Since this video, Kristen has requested that Momma dance with her, about every other night.

Audrey and Daddy were in the living room bobbing along to the music as well.

Daycare Buddies

Kristen loves her daycare buddies. We started watching Anna in January and Daniel in March. We also watched a young boy named Travis for a few months and occasionally we watched a friend of mine's son, Cormac.

The kids love Kristen's big girl bed. They like to lay in it and play tent, hide from momma, or pretend to nap. Sometimes the baby dolls lay in the bed. and sometimes they jump in it, but I discourage it. The sandbox is a favorite toy. Unfortunately, everyone usually needs a hairwashing after playing in it.
Kristen loves music and dancing. Sometimes, she can be kind of bossy about it. She orders us what to listen to. I usually tell her I get to pick one song out of a car trip, but then let her dictate the rest of the music. Her favorites are : itsy spider, girl song ( which I don't know the name of it but it is something like get on board the train for the Lord.... and this train is bound for glory., happy (which used to be Oh Happy Day... her first favorite song... but now happy means if you are happy and you know it clap your hands, joy (is actually two songs... I've got the joy, joy,joy down in my heart or... I can't remember the other one) and hallelujah (which is a gospel song I like. Sometimes she asks for mommy's song... which is Nicole C. Mullen's I know my redeemer lives.... she calls it mommy's song... because one day I had had ENOUGH kids songs and said Kristen, mommy is going to listen to her song now... and that's just what I picked that day.... sometimes she calls it the clapping song because the version I listen to is live and people clap at the beginning and end.
Daniel is hugged daily ... and sometimes she knocks him over with her hugs. She loves to kiss as well. She has kissed three boys to my knowledge. The first was Ian Reimer, a church friend, ... I think she was between a year and 18 mos when she kissed him. She has kissed Daniel several times.... sometimes four or five times in one day. She grabs a hold of the back of his head and pulls him in. She has also kissed Cormac. This boy is her favorite because he likes hugging and kissing and is content to do this most of the playdate... while others will endure it for a few mins and then push her away.
