Audrey's Second Birthday

For Audrey's second birthday, the family took her to her favorite park.

        She is proud of her somewhat-new skill of "hanging"...

Both girls had lots of fun in the fresh air and sunlight. 

                                                

                       "Why choose one side of the slide when you can tackle them both?"

                                     "I think we should go play over THERE!"

                                                
                      "Wow, Mommy. Daddy sure can do a lot of pullups over there!"

After spending most of the morning playing and laughing, we took Audrey to her favorite restaurant. 

  -  which is any restaurant with chips and cheese dip.

                Audrey was a little shocked by the singers and the huge massive hat,  but she was very happy with the treat they brought.

After lunch, everyone was tired, so we came home and took naps.

After nap the girls took a sisters bath... which might not sound like part of the celebration... but with my girls, it really is.  They love the bubbles, the splashing and the playing together in water. 

The girls love "helping" me cook.  So each girl took a turn at adding ingredients and stirring the cupcake mixture.  They also had fun licking the bowl and spatula. 

Nanna and Grandma came over late in the day, to have dinner, play with the girls and help us celebrate Sugar Cookie's birthday.

After dinner, we opened presents!!!

which actually meant something to her this year.

 

"I like it!"

Ooooohhh!

"Yay!!"

We sang Happy Birthday to the pretty girl and then she blew out her candles. 

And then, FINALLY, Audrey was allowed to eat her cupcake !
