Decorating a tree

The girls loving playing outside.

Somedays they play on the slide and in their toy cars.

Somedays, they color the sidewalk with chalk.

Other days they collect rocks in their buckets or pick up sticks in their wagons.

Kicking the soccerball, or playing tag are also favorite outdoor games.

But recently they have added a little variety to their outdoor play.

One day I looked out the window and Kristen had a stuffed animal dangling from the tree and Audrey was at the bottom of the tree trying to get it with our butterfly net.

And on another day, I saw them running into the playhouse and climbing out the window... and then sliding down various plastic toys that they had stacked up outside the window.  That cracked me up.

But decorating the tree has definitely been the most amusing game so far.

Yesterday, I peeked out the kitchen window as I was washing dishes and saw Kristen perched in "her" tree and Audrey was handing her various toys.

I stepped out the door to see what was going on. And the girls informed me that they were decorating the tree.

I am not sure why the tree needed decorating... but I guess it did.

And they had a ball doing it.
